He obtained MBBS degree in 1982 from Chittagong Medical College, FCPS (Medicine) under the auspicious of Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1992 and MD (Nephrology) from Dhaka University in 1995. He undergone fellowship training in Nephrology in Manchester Royal Infirmary, UK, Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore.</span></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(25, 135, 84);">He is the former Chairman, Department of Nephrology and former Pro-Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University</span></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(25, 135, 84);">He is the Deputy Chair/Councilor, International Society of Nephrology South Asia Regional Board. He is the editor In Chief of Bangladesh Renal Journal.
