He earned his MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College in 1989, followed by a Diploma in Cardiology (D‑Card) from Dhaka University and an MD in Cardiology in 2000. He became a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), reflecting his recognition by peers in the U.S. .</span></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(34, 42, 60);">With over 26 years of experience, Prof. Dr. Khandaker Qamrul Islam has performed more than 15,000 coronary angiograms, over 3,000 angioplasties, and hundreds of peripheral angiograms and pacemaker implantations . He served as Professor of Cardiology at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases &amp; Hospital (NICVD) before joining Universal Medical College &amp; Hospital Ltd. as Chief Clinical and Interventional Cardiologist .</span></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(34, 42, 60);">Dr. Khandaker Qamrul Islam specializes in diagnosing and managing a wide array of cardiovascular conditions including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and acute cardiac emergencies.
