Nazrul Islam</strong><span style="color: rgb(25, 135, 84); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"> completed MBBS from Sher-e-Bangla Medical College, Barishal in 1993. He joined as Lecturer, department of Pathology at Khulna Medical College in 1995. He obtained his MD (Nephrology), January 2005 from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka. He received extensive training on dialysis, transplantation and different aspects of nephrology.</span></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><span style="color: rgb(25, 135, 84); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">In October 2005, he joined as a Specialist in Nephrologist at Dumat Al Jandal General Hospital under Health Ministry, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 2005 - 2008. After returning to Bangladesh in 2008, he joined Mymensingh Medical College as an Assistant Professor of Nephrology. In 2009, he was posted to Dhaka Medical College, where he served as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and later as a Professor in the Department of Nephrology. Since January 2020, he had been working as the Head of the Department of Nephrology.</span></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><br></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><br></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><span style="color: rgb(25, 135, 84); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">He has over 23 years of working experience on clinical nephrology, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis &amp; kidney transplantation.</span></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><span style="color: rgb(25, 135, 84); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">He is a member of Bangladesh Renal Association, International Society of Nephrology and American Society of Nephrology, He was Secretary General of Bangladesh Renal Association from 2017 to 2019. </span></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><span style="color: rgb(25, 135, 84); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">He has published around 38 research articles in national and international journals. From January 2025, he has joined Mugda Medical College as Professor and Head, Department of Nephrology.</span></p><p><br></p>
