<p class="ql-align-justify"><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(109, 109, 109);">Dr. Prasanta K Chanda, Senior Consultant &amp; Associate Professor, Department of Cardiac Surgery of National Heart Foundation Hospital &amp; Research Institute has joined Square Hospital as a Senior Consultant of Cardiac Surgery Department. He has 20 years of experience and skills to perform a wide array of cardiac surgeries like Beating Heart Coronary Artery Bypass Surgeries (CABG), Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery (MICS), Redo or repeat cardiac surgery, Aortic surgery-specially Bentall, David procedure, Total Arch Replacement, FET (Frozen Elephant Trunk) etc. He is one of the pioneers of MICS &amp; Aortic Surgery program in Bangladesh. </span></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(109, 109, 109);">He had his graduation (MBBS) from Sir Salimullah Medical College and obtained his Masters on Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery from National Institute of Cardio-vascular Diseases (NICVD). He served different Govt. and private institutes before joining National Heart Foundation Hospital and Research Institute in 2006 as Assistant Professor cum Consultant of Cardiac Surgery. In August, 2010 he was promoted to his present position - Associate Professor cum Senior Consultant of Cardiac Surgery. </span></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(109, 109, 109);">Dr. Prasanta got the opportunity to work as a fellow/ observer in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India; Cardiac Institute, National University Hospital, Singapore; Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart &amp; Vascular Center, Houston, USA; Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA and many others. He has lots of publications in national &amp; international journals. </span></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(109, 109, 109);">Presently he is serving as Vice President, Cardiac Surgeons Society of Bangladesh (CSSB). He is also member of BMA, Bangladesh Cardiac Society, IACTS, SMICTSI, STS, EACTS, ISMICS.</span></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
