<p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(33, 37, 41);">Dr. A.F.M Kamal Uddin completed his MBBS degree in 1990 and completed a Diploma in Chest Disease and Tuberculosis (DTCD) in 1996. In the year 2008, he became the first MD in Radiation Oncology in the country.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(33, 37, 41);">He worked at the National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital, the only tertiary-level cancer centre in the country from 1993 to 2010. Then went to attend a six-month IAEA fellowship at the University Pittsburgh Cancer Centre (UPMC), Pennsylvania, the USA in the Department of Radiation Oncology. He was also awarded the ICRETT fellowship of UICC in 2009 and worked at National Cancer Centre, Singapore as Fellow.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(33, 37, 41);">He is now working as an Associate Professor (CC), Department of Radiation Oncology, National Institute of ENT (NIENT), Tejgaon, Dhaka. He is also acting as Visiting Consultant of Radiation Oncology, United Hospital, Senior Consultant at Labaid Cancer Hospital &amp; Super Speciality Centre &amp; Labaid Specialized Hospital.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(33, 37, 41);">He is also acting as Honorary Consultant of Radiation Oncology, Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC). He also worked as Honorary Adviser for the Cancer Centre at Dhaka Cantonment “Oncology Centre”.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(33, 37, 41);">He was elected the Secretary-General of SAARC Federation Oncologists (SFO) twice and now he is the EC member of SFO. He is the Scientific Secretary of the Oncology Club, Bangladesh.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(33, 37, 41);">He is the only Oncologist in the country having a post-graduate degree in respiratory medicine and Oncology. His field of interest is Lung Cancer, Urological Malignancies, Gynecological Cancer and Breast Cancer.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); color: rgb(33, 37, 41);">He is involved in treating patients with precision Radiation therapy techniques like SBRT and treated the first HCC and RCC patient with Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) technique in Bangladesh.</span></p><p><br></p>
